Magic Circle Festival III HAILS WIZARD!

New York, USA – "They can’t stop us, let them try, for heavy metal come to Loreley in July!" exclaimed Joey DeMaio of MANOWAR. Known by fans as The Kings of Metal, bassist DeMaio, along with vocalist, Eric Adams, guitarist, Karl Logan and drummer, Donnie Hamzik created the Magic Circle Festival as a tribute to the fans hungry for more metal events, as well as an annual forum to meet with the international metal community. The festival has served not only to feed the need of MANOWAR fans, but all metal fans spanning the globe. Now in its third year, the Magic Circle Festival has become an unparalleled adventure famed for its innovations, destinations and creative themes.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Loreley on the Rhine River in Germany, this year’s event will also appeal to fans of fantasy novels and films due to the exclusive unveiling of a unique collaboration between MANOWAR and Germany’s best selling fantasy author, Wolfgang Hohlbein. The Asgard Saga, based on Norse mythology’s tales of Thor, the God of Thunder, will debut through the written word of Hohlbein’s book and its musical interpretation written and composed by MANOWAR. This year’s location is a romantic and adventurous tourist destination rich with legendary folklore. The Loreley serves as the perfect backdrop, while its amphitheater, modeled after ancient venues, will provide an amazing setting for this ground-breaking event in heavy metal history.

A full day of fan activities and entertainment, featuring the Heat Seekers from Norway, is scheduled for the official opening of the campgrounds on Friday, July 17.th A complete line up of multinational bands will be featured on the day of the festival, Saturday, July 18th along with a special appearance by Wolfgang Hohlbein. Slated to perform at this monumental event is WIZARD. The band is a synonym for "German Heavy Metal". In 2009 the band celebrates their 20th anniversary – 20 years of metal, shows and a whole lot of fun. The band was formed by four friends: Michael Maaß (guitar), Sören Van Heek (drums), V.Leson (bass) and Sven D’Anna (vocals) and the line-up is the same today (Dano Boland joined the band 2006)! They bring their brand of solidarity to Magic Circle Festival III.
